Windsurfing: Brighton Wind Direction: NE Wind Stength: Session time: 12.30-1pm Surf / Sea State: HT @midday Air Temperature: Scorchio!!! Sea Temperature: Weather: WTW sunshine!!! Max Speed: Distance Covered:
A quick midday splash-and-dash before work off Kemp Town beach. I couldn't
be arsed to drive to Pevensey and in any case the wind didn't fill in
properly until just before midday so not enough time to travel, but the
weather was glorious so I was keen to get out.
Cross-off, gusty but looked just about sailable so I rigged up and launched
at the same time as fellow Kemp Towner Simon. And it was better than I'd
expected - I was planing fairly solidly for most of the session, with 5.8
being just about the perfect average size for the gusts and the lulls. Not
exactly epic conditions but great to be out in the blazing sunshine and
nice to sail my local beach for the first time.
